This Dell Inspiron 14R model is way faster than my old Dell machine which was powered by a dual core CPU, this Dell Inspiron 14R has a great picture, and I like the design.
You will have 2 USB 3.0 ports that are very helpful if you transfer your digital files alot, because it gives faster speed than the USB 2.0s, there is also a SD card port that can be used for transfering files from a memory card.
For instance, you have pictures in a digital camera, and you want to view them in your laptop, you can easily use this tiny slot to see and save your images in your computer, this will also clean your camera’s storage.

The best feature of this model is its HDMI port, one feature that was missing from a laptop that I was also considering, this port allows me connecting my laptop to my HDTV to watch movies. I love this feature, and this unit does not disappoint me.

The display is amazingly clear, it performs quite fast for both processing performance and also internet surfing, thanks to the new Sandy Bridge i3 processor which powers this Dell Inspiron 14R i14RN4110-8073DBK 14-Inch Laptop (Diamond Black).
Surprisingly, this laptop can play Blu-Ray discs, apart of the DVDs and also CDs.
I like the Windows 7 Operating system, very easy to use, and personalize, and a bit mix between XP and Vista, it is just pleasant to operate.
The minor downfall is the F2 key.
Although most of laptops have double function keys with “FN” on the keyboard, the F2 key of the Dell Inspiron 14R i14RN4110-8073DBK is actually the key to enter BIOS while booting up, and also the key to turn your wifi on or off.
So in the beginning, I wanted to enter my BIOS, and I was late, so I turned off my wireless connection accidentally. I did not know why I could not get online because of this key.
I must mention that for the real F keys, you will need to press “FN” key which is placed next to its control CTRL key.
Otherwise I have no other issues. The performance of the i3 Intel core processor, and the power of the 4GB RAM enabled me to edit a 5 minutes video in HD quality, 12MP images with Photoshop CS4, and also watching HD videos on YouTube all at once without a problem.
There are also bundled of softwares that I would personally get none at all, so that I am able to install what I need, or what I want without removing and uninstalling things that I will never need.
But those softwares can be useful for some people, especially those who are totally newbie on computing stuff.

I don’t have any words to explain how I am pleased with this Dell Inspiron 14R i14RN4110-8073DBK.
I was searching for a daily laptop for surfing, playing music, editing videos and images, and not playing games intensively, I got it now.
A 2.1Ghz i3-2310M CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 640GB machine is usually more than $600, I got mine at $500, Dell Inspiron 14R i14RN4110-8073DBK is definitely worth the price.
